Today is May 1st... and that means it's International Labor Day, a day that celebrates workers and promotes their rights.
To mark the day,...the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions will host a Labor Day demonstration at Seoul Plaza at 2 p.m., Korea time.
This year's slogans include fully abiding by International Labour Organization agreements and abolishing of the chaebol structure that sees family dynasties control the country's biggest conglomerates.
The 2019 Labor Day Marathon, hosted by the Federation of Korean Trade Unions every year since 2006,...will also start at Culture Square in Yeouido at 10 a.m.
Workers, their families and migrant workers will take part in the event.
