Victim in California Synagogue Shooting Remembered by Congregants 60-year-old Lori Gilbert Kaye was fatally shot by a gunman on Saturday, the last day of Passover. The suspected shooter,
19-year-old John T. Earnest,
has since been arrested. Her fellow congregants have since remembered her as loyal to both friends and the synagogue. Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, via statement According to NBC, Kaye's husband was with her at the time when she was shot. Earnest wounded three others before being chased away by Oscar Stewart, a congregant member and Iraq war veteran. Police say they believe Earnest, who is being held without bond, acted alone.
