The Galapagos Islands are known worldwide for their sea lion colonies. In the Galapagos, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Ecuador, these beautiful animals are tame and very approachable. The photographer can get very close to them, and appreciate their many unique (and other funny!) facial expressions. In this collection, I feature sea lions welcoming some visitors on a park bench, while others play with their mates. I also caught one taking a nap.
