President Trump slammed CNN on Monday.
President Trump on Monday mocked CNN over its low ratings. He tweeted, "Congratulations!" and shared a link to a Daily Caller report on the matter. The Daily Caller notes that CNN "had its lowest primetime weekly ratings overall…last week, according to Nielsen Media Research."
It also reports that, while cable news networks Fox and MSNBC finished in first and second place, respectively, for primetime viewership, CNN came in at fifteenth. Notably, this is not the first time Trump has blasted CNN. "CNN and others in the Fake News Business keep purposely and inaccurately reporting that I said the 'Media is the Enemy of the People.' Wrong! I said that the 'Fake News (Media) is the Enemy of the People,' a very big difference. When you give out false information - not good!" Trump tweeted in October. Months prior, he noted via Twitter: "The hatred and extreme bias of me by @CNN has clouded their thinking and made them unable to function. But actually, as I have always said, this has been going on for a long time."
