Chawli Amti / Black Eyed Peas Masala is a Maharashtrian main course recipe where the pressure cooked black peas are mixed with onion coconut gravy and then flavoured with spices. The gravy goes very well with bhakri or chapati. Chawli Amti is a traditional and simple recipe of black-eyed beans curry with a coconut base and malvani masala.
Chawli Amti is high in proteins and tastes yummy too. Make this golden yellow curry of black-eyed beans with the beans ‘peeping’ out of the curry.
