Former Peruvian president Alan Garcia shot himself in the head when police arrived to his home in Lima to arrest him in connection with the ongoing 'Odebrecht' investigation. He was rushed to hospital but died a few hours later. He was to be the third former Peruvian president to face charges in the scandal involving the Brazilian multinational.
