A new poll shows most South Koreans who ran companies at the long-shuttered inter-Korean Gaeseong Industrial Complex are experiencing business troubles.
According to the Korea Federation of SMEs on Tuesday, the survey was based on 108 companies that once operated at the complex.
More than 85 percent said their business conditions had deteriorated since the complex was shut down in 2016 after North Korea conducted its fourth nuclear test.
Lack of funds was the main reason given.
Citing that almost all the firms surveyed want to re-enter the complex, the Korea Federation of SMEs called on the government to do more to push harder for operations at Gaeseong to restart.
