Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder, has been arrested at Ecuador's embassy in London.
For more on this and other news around the world, let's turn to Hong Yoo.
Bombshell news.... what's the latest?
Yes Mark, Julian Assange was arrested on Thursday after almost 7 years of self-imposed exile at Ecuador's London embassy to avoid extradition to Sweden over sexual assault allegations.
Ecuador finally revoked his political asylum and invited Metropolitan police officers to arrest him as Ecuador said it had run out of patience with Assange's behavior.
Assange was found guilty of failing to surrender to the court and faces up to 12 months in a British prison.
The U.S. is also seeking his extradition over allegations he conspired with former US military analyst Chelsea Manning to download restricted documents that the U.S. Justice Department called "one of the largest compromises of classified information in history of the United States".
There's still ongoing debate over what will happen to Assange and what charges he will be facing.
The British government said he will be judged by law while civil liberties groups condemned the U.S. extradition request.
These groups say Assange exposed wrongdoings and an extradition over the leaks could risk press freedom.
Assange faces up to additional maximum sentence of five years if convicted for his alleged intrusion to Pentagon computers and download material to share with WikiLeaks.
