The UN Security Council and the G7 group of rich countries have condemned military action in Libya... by rebel forces advancing on the capital.
Those forces are led by Khalifa Haftar, whose so-called Libyan National Army is tied to a parallel government in the east of the country.
Disputed reports say the LNA has advanced as far as the Tripoli airport.
The Security Council and the G7 issued similar statements on Friday calling on all sides to halt all military activity.
Just hours earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres had left Libya after talks with the LNA leader Haftar,... saying he was deeply concerned.
Haftar had reportedly told Guterres he would not stop until he had defeated "terrorism."
