South Korea and the United States have affirmed their confidence in keeping troop readiness at an appropriate level,... after the shakeup of their joint military exercises.
That's according to U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Joseph Dunford on Tuesday at a ceremony,... where he gave the Legion of Merit to Seoul's Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo.
Dunford added the allies are also comfortable with the drills they have scheduled for the coming months.
Last month, South Korea and the U.S. completed the new joint exercise nineteen-dash-one 'Dong Maeng' as a replacement for the Key Resolve exercise.
They're expected to conduct nineteen-dash-two in the fall.
