Three young people, Fabrice Armand SANDWIDI (General Manager), Siaka TRAORÉ (Technical Director), and Aminata Roselyne OUÉDRAOGO (Sales Director) are leading the largest livestock feed factory in Burkina Faso.

SOFAB was created in 2009. It was born from an initiative of farmers organised in cooperative, who asked the support of the Government of Burkina Faso to set up a livestock feed factory to contribute to the improvement of feeding farm animals in the country. The Government of Burkina Faso found that it was a very good idea and invested in the project.

“If we take the example of the dairy sector, before consuming the feed of SOFAB, the breeders were obtaining an average production of 7 litres per day and per cow. Today, with the feed of SOFAB, they have gone from 7 to 15 litres of milk,” says Fabrice Armand SANDWIDI, the General Manager.
