유엔 대북제재위 이번주 비공개 회의, 대북제재 명단 수정, 제재 이행 평가
The UN Security Council's sanctions committee on North Korea is to hold a closed-door meeting Wednesday, to discuss sanctions on North Korea, including possible tougher measures.
Radio Free Asia reported that the committee will be reviewing how UN member states have been implementing the sanctions on the regime, as well as looking at the expert panel reports submitted last week.
The reports said that Pyeongyang has been illegally procuring refined petroleum products via ship-to-ship transfers and has been illegally exporting small arms to Syria, Yemen, Libya and Sudan.
The committee will discuss whether to review if additions need to be made to the sanctions list.
It will also reportedly discuss sanctions exemptions for humanitarian aid to North Korea.
