Number of people working less than 15 hours a week climbed in 2018

The rapid rises in Korea's minimum wage apparently have more people working fewer than 15 hours a week.
This is especially true in wholesale and retail... as well as the food and lodging industries.
A report by the Korea Labor Institute released Sunday shows the number of people clocking less than 15 hours a week... climbed last year by more than 11 percent compared to the previous year to 756-thousand people.
That's nearly four-percent of Korea's entire work force.
The report says employers are giving these workers fewer hours to avoid having to pay certain extras.
Korean labor law says people working more than 15 hours a week are entitled to extra pay every week worth one working day.
