A zoo in China’s southern province of Guangdong is welcoming seven baby takin born earlier this year. The calves are growing rapidly at Guangzhou’s Chimelong Safari Park, but have yet to sprout the characteristic short curved horns seen on older takin. Their woolly coats will also change gradually from dark brown to a yellow-brown, or in case of the males, a golden colour.
