Bernie Sanders again slammed President Trump on Friday.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has said that President Trump "embarrasses us every single day."
The 2020 presidential hopeful made the comment during a rally speech at the University of Iowa Friday night, adding: "Trump told the working people of Iowa and Vermont and this country that he was going to stand with them. I know it will shock you when I tell you, 'He lied.'"
Sanders then addressed the president directly, saying: "President Trump, you don't stand with working people when you told them you were going to provide healthcare to everybody and then you pushed legislation that would have thrown 32 million Americans off the healthcare that they have."
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senator pointed out that many of the ideas he had advocated during his run in 2016 have now become more popular, saying: "Those ideas that we talked about here in Iowa four years that were too radical. Well, today virtually all of those ideas are supported by the American people."
He then went on to talk about providing healthcare for all, raising the minimum wage, and offering free college tuition.
