On the trade front,... President Trump said Friday that he will not sign a trade deal with China unless it is a "very good deal."
His comments come amid talks between Washington and Beijing to address U.S. concerns... including market access, tech transfers and intellectual property rights.
"If we don't make a very good deal for our country, I wouldn't make a deal. If this isn't a great deal, I won't make a deal."
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow... echoed Trump's sentiment in an interview with Bloomberg TV,... and said Trump and Xi Jinping could hold their summit sometime in April.
At a news conference Saturday, Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen said... the two sides are working day and night to reach a compromise.
While striking an optimistic tone about the trade negotiations,... he said any deal achieved must be equal and fair... and that all the tariffs must be removed by both sides.
