Se-min quite a major shakeup.
Right.
The presidential office has announced its new ministers including the country's go-to person for North Korea.
Many of the faces from the ruling Democratic Party of Korea are now part of the Moon administration,... something that can be seen as the president's efforts to expand and harden the cooperation between the ruling party, the government and the Blue House.
Let me go over these one-by-one,...
Lawmaker Park Young-sun of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea had been named as the minister of SMEs and Startups,
and Chin Young, also from the ruling party is now the minister of interior and safety.
Both of them being four-term lawmakers.
And for the culture, sports and tourism minister,... Park Yang-woo who served as vice-minister for that ministry during the Roh Moo-hyun administration.
Kim Yeon-chul is the new point-man for North Korea,... becoming the unification minister,... after having served as the head of the Korea Institute for National Unification.
He also has experience as part of the inter-Korean summit advisory committee panel.
For the country's land, infrastructure and transport ministry,... Choi Jeong-ho , who had also served as the vice-minister during the former Park Geun-hye administration.
Professor Cho Dong-ho of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, one of the nation's most prominent technology universities... will head the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning. Cho has also served as the president of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Science.
And lastly,... the new minister for oceans and fisheries,... Moon Seong-hyeok a professor at World Maritime University,... comes in with past experience as a first mate at Hyundai Merchant Marine.
Jiyoon,... today's Cabinet reshuffle also comes as four of the lawmaker-turned-ministers are expected to return to the party to run in the general elections next year.
And they will be returning back to the ruling Democratic Party as they still have their parliamentary seats.
