Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta was on Wednesday detained for filing a false complaint that beef was being served in New Delhi's Kerala House canteen, triggering a controversy. "Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta has been detained today (Wednesday). He was taken to the Parliament Street Police station for questioning," a senior police official said. On Monday evening, Gupta complained to police that beef was being served in Kerala House following which the police raided the premises. The action came in for criticism and allegations of police "intolerance".
