Three leaders of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) were abducted by a group of Maoists on Monday evening, in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Mamidi Balayya Padal, party President, Vandalam Balayya, senior leader and Mukkala Mahesh, district committee member were kidnapped from their homes in Kothaguda village.
The primary reason behind the abduction is believed to be the bauxite mining in the Visakha agency area, which is being opposed by the Maoists.
