The mortal remains of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam were on Wednesday flown to his hometown Rameswaram from New Delhi in a special
an IAF Plane.
The aircraft reached the Madurai airport at around 12.45 p.m. The remains will be transported through an IAF Chopper to Mandapam where it
will be received by Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar at the helipad.
