Writer and activist Girish Karnad has sparked off a massive row in Bangalore by leading a protest opposing the beef ban in Maharashtra. In a brazen show of defiance, protesters led by Karnad cooked beef on the spot. The protests was organised by Left group Democratic Youth Federation of India.
