BJP deploys its top leaders to counter Kejriwal threat in Delhi

2019-03-02 0

As the stakes for Delhi Assembly elections continue to grow, BJP has decided to bring out the big guns.
If sources are to be believed, the charge for overseeing the Delhi election campaign has been given to veteran leader and Union Minister Arun Jaitley. From now on, Jaitley will spend at least an hour daily in the BJP office, working closely with candidates and party workers. He is also expected to address the media on a regular basis.
Apart from Jaitley, a team consisting of Piyush Goel, Nirmala Sitharaman, JP Nadda, Smriti Irani and Kiran Bedi has also been deputed to deal with specific sectors.
Apparently, the ministers have been called in to specifically deal with allegations being levelled by Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party.
