The future of sidelined BCCI President N. Srinivasan, and several prominent individuals involved in the Indian Premier League hangs in the balance with the Mukul Mudgal committee set to submit its final report on the 2013 spot-fixing fiasco to the Supreme Court on Monday.
After an in-depth probe spanning six months, the panel, in its preliminary report in February, had put Srinivasan's role under close scrutiny, indicted his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, and pointed fingers at the role of 12 prominent names in cricket, including capped India players. Following this, the court ordered the committee to conduct a deeper probe against the names in a sealed envelope.
