After national level shooter Tara Shahdeo, a minor table tennis player has been allegedly forced to convert to Islam in another case of love jihad in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur area.
A report surfaced on Sunday that 14-year-old table tennis player was reportedly forced by a Muslim youth to change her religion.
“He introduced himself to me as “Raj”- a Hindu man. He forced me for intimacy barely days after we became friends. Then he forced me to change my religion and marry him,” said the girl in a statement to the district magistrate.
The girl’s family claimed that one Wasim, belonging to a minority community lured the minor table tennis player into a relationship and later married her only to convert her to Islam.
