While investigators hope Bihar minister Jai Kumar Singh's 14-year-old son would regain consciousness to tell the truth, has found several inconsistencies in what's being described a case of suicide attempt.
Scindia School management, which hushed up the matter for two days, told police he was found sprawled on the balcony of his hostel room. But its press note just mentioned the boy was found unconscious, skirting the crucial issue of where he was exactly found.
Insiders told he was found unconscious in bushes on the campus before being shifted to the hostel room where the incident was reconstructed as a suicide bid.
Even if both claims are true, it does not prove the boy tried to kill himself. He could have been hanged or throttled as ligature marks can be found in suicide and murder cases, say legal experts.
