Terrorist open fire on BSF convoy in Pampore area

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first visit to Leh and Kargil on Tuesday after assuming office, two terrorists attacks were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night.
Terrorists attacked a convoy of Border Security Force injuring seven personnel including Assistant Commander, who is in a critical condition. The attack took place at Srinagar Jammu National Highway near Pampore area at 9:41 PM.

In yet another attempt of infiltration, the Indian Army foiled it and intercepted over seven terrorists in Panjinala area of Balakot sector in Poonch.

The firing continued till 12:30 AM after which terrorists fled to Pakistani side.

These two attacks come ahead of Modi's visit to Leh he will address troops posted in Leh soon after landing. He is the first Prime Minister to visit Kargil after the war in 1999. H
