A major controversy has erupted as a report of bugging devices being found in Nitin Gadkari’s residence has started doing rounds.

The former Bharatiya Janata Party President Gadkari however on Sunday tagged it as ‘highly speculative’ even as the Congress said it reflects lack of faith and mutual trust among NDA ministers.

According to ‘The Sunday Guardian’ report, high power listening devices were found in the bed room at the 13 Teen Murti Lane, New Delhi which is the residence of Road, Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The report said that the discovery was ‘accidental’ and a debugging exercise was immediately ordered which further exposed five more devices.

On his Twitter handle, Gadkari expressed, “Reports in a section of the media about listening devices having been found at my New Delhi residence are highly speculative.”

In the mean while, believing some sources close to the Union Minister, no such device was recovered which the report claimed of being high- quality and of a type normally used by western agencies.

In his another tweet, Gadkari wrote, “As already stated, I reiterate that no devices were found at my residence anywhere.”

As Madhav Nalapat , Editorial Director The Sunday Guardian informed NewsX, the sources of the story claim that the devices were placed at Gadkari’s residence in October last year and it was appeared from these sources that one of the devices was found accidentally by the staff members of Gadkari after which the Union Minister ordered a probe to some agency and as a result of investigation, five more devices were found from his residence.
