Parents and student clashes in a school in Malda, WB

Five people including a police officer were injured when clashes broke out between police and aggrieved parents at a school in West Bengal over lowering of fees. The incident happened on Tuesday at Akondaberia High School Kaliachowk, Malda.
The parents wanted to submit a deputation demanding lowering of fees for class 11 students but they started pelting stones and lobbed crude bombs after the school refused to agree.
The police reached the spot and responded by firing 20 rounds in the air. One police officer was injured along with four locals. Police picket has is at the spot and situation is reported to be under control.
