The Supreme Court has refused to extend the deadline for the eviction of Campa Cola society's residents in Mumbai. The Supreme Court has asked the residents of Mumbai's Campa Cola society to vacate the premises by May 31, 2014.
The court has given the direction that action will be taken against the residents who do not comply with it. The apex court has given the BMC the authority to demolish the flats if the residents do not vacate the flats by May 31, 2014.
The Supreme Court had stayed the demolition of flats at the Campa Cola complex in Mumbai on Tuesday and had said that apart from legal issues there was a human angle to the problem too.
