Police on Saturday filed an FIR against Uttar Pradesh's controversial minority affairs minister Mohd Azam Khan for giving a communal twist to the Kargil war.
The police action came a day after the Election Commission banned him from holding any public meetings or road shows in Uttar Pradesh. A similar ban was also imposed on the BJP's Amit Shah for an alleged 'hate speech' during campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls.
