Over a dozen ministers belonging to the Telangana region, led by the Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Raj Narasimha, rushed into the Well of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Monday, protesting against the move to pass a resolution opposing the AP Reorganisation Bill, 2013. They vowed to stall the proceedings till the notice was withdrawn.
Capping hectic political activity over the last two days following a notice served by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy under Rule 77 to move a resolution to reject the draft Bill, ministers and legislators from Telangana stalled the Asswmbly proceedings forcing the presiding officer to adjourn the House for 30 minutes. After the House resumed its sitting, the scene was repeated when over a dozen Telangana ministers stormed into the Well and disrupted the proceedings.
