New Delhi: Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Tuesday said President's rule is unlikely in Andhra Pradesh at this stage. The people of Andhra Pradesh are facing the brunt of the protests over the state's bifurcation. Over 50 lakh households in five districts have had no power since 9 am on Monday. This comes as over 8,000 power sector employees have joined the protests against the bifurcation of the state.
Several hospitals in the Seemandhra region have been badly hit. At the King George Hospital in Vizag, most of the incubators in the neo-natal ward are not working because of disruption in power supply.
