Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's developmental streak in the state not only made him win three consecutive assembly elections but catapulted him to national reckoning. His infrastructural development in the state made him the apple of the eyes of industrialists. However, malnutrition in women and children has been a red line in his report card. Time and again, reports have pointed out the lacuna in governance that he is not able to provide proper nutrition to the children. Bringing more embarrassment to the leader, the Comptroller and Auditor General has stated in its latest report that every third child in the state is underweight.
