Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on Tuesday returned home hours after a court granted him 14 days furlough on medical grounds. Dutt told media here that all prisoners are entitled to furlough, and added that he wanted to spend his time out of prison with his family. "I respect the law of the land. I respect the honourable courts of India. I am a law abiding citizen and will complete my parole and will report back," Dutt said.
"I want to request to the press that I have got some time which I want to spend with my family. I thank the press for its support. Thanks to all my fans and I love my fans," he added.
53-year-old Dutt Dutt has been granted 14 days furlough for treatment of his leg. He is currently serving a 42-month sentence in connection with the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case. Dutt is reportedly said to be experiencing pain because of blood clots in his legs. He also suffers from high blood pressure and wants to consult doctors while out on parole. Dutt had applied for a 14-day leave of furlough last month as per the jail manuals.
