Tech and You : Review on Lenovo K900

2019-03-01 0

Lenovo, a respected name in the world of laptops, has been trying to carve a niche for itself in the mobile phone segment. It has consistently priced its products a little lower than the Samsungs and the HTCs, but not low enough to take on Indian manufacturers like Micromax and Lava. But unlike local players, Lenovo also targets the high-end market, like with its new flagship priced at Rs. 28,999 meet the Lenovo K900.

The K900 is an attempt at putting together Lenovo's vision of what a premium device should be. It's firmly in the "phablet" segment with its 5.5-inch IPS FullHD screen, but manages to stay quite slim at just 6.9mm. Bucking the ARM-based Qualcomm and Mediatek processors, the metal unibody houses a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 CPU with PowerVR SGX544 graphics and 2GB of RAM. There's 16GB of internal memory (no expandable microSD slot) and a 2500mAh battery. The back houses a 13-megapixel shooter with f1.8 aperture, and a 2MP front-facing camera. All of this runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, heavily customized by Lenovo.
