All India Congress Committee general secretaries Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday said 10,000 burqas have been purchased from a shop in Indore ostensibly for BJP's rally, to be addressed by Narendra Modi on Wednesday, to given an impression that the saffron party has support of Muslims.

Singh told reporters at a press conference that Rs. 42 lakh has been paid to the maker of burqas by Devendra Jain, who is a director of Biltcon, a company owned by Dilip Suryavangshi, an industrialist considered close to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and accused by the Congress of being involved in illegal mining.

Singh, who displayed the receipt of the purchase, said thousands of skullcaps (topi) have been ordered from Lucknow for this convention.
