Samajwadi Party workers attacked mediapersons who had gone to cover the death of a boy in celebratory firing in Shamli district, saying it was a "planned" assault which indicated how much "anarchy" prevailed in Uttar Pradesh. "Assault on mediapersons in Balrampur and Shamli indicate that SP men are attacking them in a planned manner," BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.
