Water woes in Delhi due to high ammonia level in Yamuna

With rise in level of ammonia in Yamuna affecting water supply in several parts of the national capital, Delhi chief secretary K.K. Sharma on Wednesday wrote to the his Haryana counterpart to take the necessary steps to resolve the problem.

Water supply came to a halt on Wednesday in large parts of Delhi, including the Lutyens’ VIP zone as high ammonia level in Yamuna forced the closure of Wazirabad and Chandrawal treatment plants on Tuesday evening.
