NewsX: Supreme Court has ordered a minimum of 3 Lakh rupees compensation to acid attack victims. The Apex court ruling says that 1 Lakh rupee must be paid within 15 days of the attack, while the remaining 2 Lakh rupees must be given in 2 months time. Court also ruled that medical treatment and rehabilitation of acid attack victims to be borne by the state government. Court also said that Acid will not be sold to anyone without an photo identity and will not be sold to people less than 18 years of age.
