Former President of India and a renowned scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on Monday at a hospital in Meghalaya. 83-year-old Dr. Kalam was in Shillong to deliver a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), reports said.
According to the reports, Dr. Kalam who was also honord with prestigious awards like Padma Bhushan and Bharat Ratna collapsed on stage at the IIM and was rushed to the Bethany hospital where doctors informed that he suffered a major heart attack.
