NewsX: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi reached Raipur late last night and met VC Shukla and other injured at the hospital. PM Manmohan Singh and UPA chief Sonia Gandhi have visited the Raipur Hospital where injured are under treatment.
More than 600 CRPF personnel, including CoBRA commandos were rushed last night to sanitise and take control of the Naxal attack site.
The Centre mobilised the CRPF personnel to not only take control of the area but also launch search and rescue operations. It is suspected that some Naxals amy still be present in nearby jungles.
Top officials of the force, deployed for anti-Naxal operations in the state are visiting the encounter site today.
