Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has come under harsh criticism after the VAT Bill was passed yesterday in Assembly as the newly passed bill will make enabling provisions for levy of VAT in respect of goods enlisted in the Fourth Schedule at flexible rates instead of a flat slab of 20 percent which in turn will increase the VAT by 30 % on petroleum products and other important goods. Congress leader Ajay Maken also slammed the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Government for going back on its pre-poll promises and said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now become a ‘Khaas Aadmi Party’.
