NewsX: In a dramatic U-turn Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt withdraws his application to surrender before the Yerwada jail in Pune instead of giving himself up before the special Court in south Mumbai.
He will surrender tomorrow in the TADA court in Mumbai. The actor had told the TADA court yesterday that he was facing threat to his life from fundamentalist groups.
Sanjay Dutt had filed the application in, hours after the Supreme Court refused to grant him additional time to surrender for undergoing the remaining jail term in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
On May 10, the Supreme Court had dismissed Dutt's plea seeking review of its judgement on his conviction and five-year jail term. The 53-year-old actor was earlier granted four more weeks to surrender to undergo the remaining jail term.
