The government in Gujarat has banned sunfeast noodles as well. All this happened after Maggi samples had lead in huge quantity. As a step of precaution, Maggi is being banned in various states of India. The Gujarat government on Thursday banned Maggi noodles in the state for one month as excessive amounts of lead and MSG were found in the samples sent for testing. Gujarat is now the third state to ban the popular snack after Delhi and Uttarakhand. On Wednesday Maggi was banned in the national capital for 15 days for containing "excessive lead" and the company has been told to withdraw the entire stock from the city urgently.
