With election bells tolling louder with each passing day, Karnataka seems to be vibrating with preparations for the May 5 Assembly polls.The major issues before the people, like at the centre are corruption and poor governance. The buzz is that results in Karnataka might have significant ramifications for Delhi, as the Assembly polls might set the political tone for General Elections 2014. The last day of filing nomination is 17th April. Amid fanfare, hundreds of candidates, including key politicians BS Yeddyurappa, G Parameshwara and Siddaramaiah filed their nomination papers. Former chief minister BS yeddyurappa has filed his nomination from Shikaripura in Shimoga District. President of Karnataka pradesh congress committee G.Parameshwara filed nomination papers from Koratagere in Tumkur District and Leader of opposition in the state assembly. Siddaramaiah, filed his papers from Varuna constituency in Mysore district.
