Despite Wharton India Economic Forum cancelling Modi's visit to the US, .Modi through the overseas Friends of BJP addressed the Indian diaspora via video conferencing. In the address aired simultaneously at four locations in the US-Edison, New Jersey, Chicago and Illinois, Modi spoke on various issues ranging from secularism, to Gujarat becoming a symbol of development. The video-conferencing is said to be Modi's fitting response to Wharton's snub.
