Eight people died on Saturday as fire broke out at Timberwood plant in Bhiwandi. All those killed were labourers.
According to Thane police, the blaze was reported at 2 AM in the timber goods warehouse in Mankoli.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet but it was brought under control by daybreak after a four-hour operation.
