Delhi rape case: A 25-year-old executive working for a global company was raped by a driver working with Uber, a US-based ride sharing service, when she was returning from a party in south Delhi. Following are the top 10 developments.

1. Delhi Police registered an FIR against Uber officials and arrest is likely in the case.

2. Home minister Rajnath Singh has asked all states and Union Territories to consider banning internet-based taxi services. He has also condemned the incident in Parliament.

3. Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari said that "banning services is not a solution to the problem."

4. National security adviser, Ajit Doval has sought a detailed report from the Delhi Police commissioner, BS Bassi, about the case.

5. Uber officials were also questioned today by Delhi Police for the second day.

6. Delhi Commission for Women has summoned the local chief executive officer of international taxi-booking service Uber.

7. Mother of rape-accused Uber driver Shiv Kumar Yadav has said he should be punished if found guilty.

8. Cab driver's father has said that few cases were filed against him in the past. However, he has never been convicted.

9. Actor Sonam Kapoor said it's an awful thing to have happened. Women are generally not safe in Delhi as compared to Mumbai.

10.The Delhi government had on Monday banned Uber from functioning in the national capital even as the company issued a statement assuring its full co-operation to help the victim and her family in their recovery.
