The BJP is all set to make the swearing-in ceremony in Maharashtra a historic event in the state - they have planned it to be as opulent as the Shiv Shahi i.e the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
A stage, made of combining three smaller stages, will be set up at the Wankhede Stadium. It will be 250 feet in length and 150 feet in width. It will 40 feet high. The stage will be able to accommodate 202 people, but only 150 people will be sitting on it for security reasons.
It is being estimated that 35,000 to 40,000 people will will attend the swearing in ceremony. A curved LED TV of dimensions 150 ft x 30 ft will be put up. When Devendra Fadnavis will be taking his oath, paintings of Shivaji being crowned at the Raigarh fort will be display on the LED TV.
Nitin Desai, an art director who works extensively in Bollywood has been roped in by the party to make the event a grand one. “The visuals that will be shown on the screen will be a combination of scenes from ancient Maharashtra and from present day. They will trace the journey of Maharashtra from the time Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who took oath at the Raigarh fort as the first King of Maharashtra, followed by the state's achievements and snapshots of its culture to make the people attending the ceremony feel proud of their state," Desai
