The Indian Government is unlikely to intervene in the child abuse case involving an Indian couple in Norway. External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said this on Saturday while insisting that the government will do whatever is appropriate. Khurshid told the media that "the issue does not relate to the government but a private citizen and local law of that country". He also added that sometimes the government expresses concern for something that happens to Indian citizens but within the parameters of law.
